Brought to the the top of the fashion world by Karl Lagerfeld, today Fendi is one of the top luxe Italian fashion brands. It all started in 1918 when Adel Casagrande opened a small fur atelier in the heart of Rome and got married to Edoardo Fendi, when the brand took the name Fendi. Its fur and its leather goods collections became a favourite of the Roman aristocracy and the wealthy European clients, making a statement in the luxury world. Since then it is family history. When Lagerfeld took over in 1965 he started one of the longest collaborations in the history of fashion, he came up with the double F logo. The turning point was in 1997 when the very famous Baguette IT-bag was launched after which the brand became a cult in fashion.
