Barbiecore - Let Your Inner Barbie Out! A New Fashion Wave That You Didn't Expect

2022 is the year of Barbiecore.
My first experience with fashion design was when I made little clothes for my barbie doll. You know what I mean, it probably happened the same way with you! And I’m not kidding, when I say: Barbie inspired fashion is back!
The AW 22 Valentino ready to wear show was full pink and that was just the beginning. Those pink dresses conquered the fashion scene! I collected my favourites:

 

Nicola Coughlan was shining at the BAFTA Film Awards in her Valentino:

 

Another treasure is Nicola Peltz Backham’s look at the Met Gala.

 

Lizzo also found her perfect pink V dress for the screening of her new show Watch Out For The Big Grrrls in Los Angeles.

 

Saweetie wore Valentino too to the 2022 Grammy Awards. I know I shared this post before, but I can’t get enough of her look!

 

As you can see, celebrities are getting on very well with Barbiecore. Kim Kardashian turned her full black Balenciaga look to full pink.

 

 

And I also have to mention the latest reel from Leonie Hanne. She posted from Valentino's Haute Couture show, from Rome.

 

You may have heard about the upcoming Barbie movie starring Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling. I can’t imagine a better Ken and Barbie couple, and I can’t wait to see the first trailer. I researched a bit and they say that the movie is coming out in 2023.

 

The previous mini collection I designed for Secondland, also came out with an Instagram post, showing the products and the model in a “barbie box”. My inner girl child is always there to remind me of those happy pink days.

I hope you will find something that satisfies your inner Barbie! Let her out! You don’t have to go crazy and dress in pink from head to toe. But a piece of pink garment will take you back into those happy childhood days!
