The only thing came to my mouth was that. The Met Gala is one of a kind event, and last night was a proof again. Before I'm heading to my favourite stars and their looks on the red carpet, let's talk about the cause of the evening this year:
As Vogue said, "It's fashion’s biggest night out, the Met Gala 2021 is a fundraising benefit for the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. The event welcomes stars, young creatives, and industry paragons. The Costume Institute will host its first two-part exhibition, on the theme of American fashion, during 2021 and 2022. Part one, “In America: A Lexicon of Fashion,” will open in the Anna Wintour Costume Center on September 18, 2021, and will remain on display when “In America: An Anthology of Fashion,” opens on May 5, 2022 in the period rooms of the American Wing. Both shows will run through September 5, 2022. Bookmark this page for news about the exhibitions and benefit gala and to enjoy Vogue’s coverage of past events’ biggest moments."
The shows just awesome, but the fashion-creations of the event could be another exhibition alone:
Gigi Hadid in Prada
Ella Emhoff in Adidas by Stella McCartney and Cartier
Ciara in Dundas
Karlie Kloss in Carolina Herrera (by Wes Gordon)
Serena Williams in Gucci
Gabrielle Union in Iris Van Herpen
Jennifer Lopez in Ralph Lauren
Anok Yai in Oscar de la Renta
Billie Eilish in Oscar de la Renta
Iman in Harris Reed creation
Lil Nas in Versace
... and many more.
Through the night, these looks were my favourites with glam and creativity. Which were yours?
