The mix-up of two highly contrasting cultures - the Korean and the Scandinavian ones - inspired the main design principles of Andersson Bell, launched in 2014. The Seoul-based label matches the Korean cultural characteristics perfectly with the minimalist attitudes of the Nordic style, pushing the limits of casual, everyday wardrobe. The focus of the brand is to embrace diversity but also to find balance in the opposites. The design is functional with a hint of extravagancy: you can find a lot of mesh and knitwear in the brands’ collections, combined with asymmetric patterns, loose fit and surprising cut-outs.
The brand name Andersson Bell refers to two very distinct cultures, the Swedish and the Korean, as the label was inspired by the fusion of these two entirely different worlds of design. And whoever is familiar with our concept knows that if we had to choose two countries that we adore and find visually inspiring the most, they would be these two. Therefore, it is just natural that even when we had no idea about the brand's story, it was love at first sight for us. And the cherry on the top is that many pieces are inspired by Korean street style, which we also worship, so there are not many brands closer to our heart right now.
