Sleepers was lunched in 2020 by Nina, Tor Marius and Frode. Nina and Frode are a surfer couple who have seen with their own eyes how some of the most treasured natural reserves are turning unrecognizable, cover with plastic and other ocean debris. The third owner Tor Marius mission was to introduce sustainable footwear to the Nordics. From there, a new innovative idea was quickly born. The designers' inspiration was to create a modern fashionable design with clean scandinavian lines in a better way with the planet in mind. The brand offer an alternative choice for conscious people. Sleepers are soft and silky flip flops of plants. Strap and sole in premium grade natural rubber made in Sri Lanka under Fair-Trade conditions. The classic minimal style adapts the unique shape of your feet and fit just as well in the city as on the beach.
What brand could have more "Spark" allure than a flip-flop brand founded by surf buddies Tor Marius and Frode coming up with the idea in sunny Sri Lanka? Plastic waste is a huge issue across all beaches which is why we are proudly stocking Sleepers, made 100% from natural rubber, a material that is locally sourced in Sri Lanka and is the best alternative compared to plastic.

So they want to help end this problem at its core - namely in the production of plastic. Sleepers are made in Sri Lanka where rubber is carefully tapped from living trees. All rubber is certificated and managed by the Fair Rubber Association. Sleepers are packaged in recycled FSC certified craft paper from the tea industry and they use only water based ink.
